While we all have identities, we are constantly evolving. This short story explores two different meanings of the verb “to be” in Spanish: “Ser”, which symbolises permanent attributes, and “estar”, which speaks of the temporary state of a person or an object. In Ser y Estar, the purity of white contrasts both with the sky and the Mediterranean Sea’s turquoise blue. Garments, on their side, reinforce the idea of a temple in the name of the body.
