PROJECTS LIST

Kilómetros Vacíos

I have always seen photography as a means to immerse myself in the most remote lands and as a tool that helps me perceive the space around me. Travelling in Argentina, in particular, has been a personal quest using photography to capture the environment. Does nature, through landscape, stimulate us? Is it possible to capture landscape with a camera? What is landscape?

After visiting South Patagonia, I have understood landscape as a space where the gaze, in addition to the scenery, are entirely integrated. Through an aesthetic visual journey over the endless space of the so-called “end of the world”, this project explores the existing limitations of using photography when capturing the ambiguity of landscape. Through this series, I aim to emphasise what is not evident that makes a landscape; to look at what constitutes us and at the same time transcends us.
